Big Sur

These images are from several years of traveling along the Big Sur coastline in California. For many years I have stayed in a small cabin there by the Big Sur River giving myself the gift of time and solitude. It is a place that needs time to get to know, hiking its trails and discovering its mysteries and gems that abide off and away from the winding road. Big Sur evokes a simpler past, and the heartbreaking beauty of old California.
